Who
can complain?
Both individuals and organisations directly affected by an
article are entitled to complain. Sometimes, the PCC may
investigate complaints from third parties, but only where
the complaint raises a significant issue. If you want to
complain on behalf of someone else, you must get a signed
statement from that person.
How soon should a complaint be made?
The PCC generally accepts only complaints made within
one month of publication. It sometimes considers late
complaints in exceptional circumstances.
